You play as the leader of a goblin settlement that owes a hefty amount of gold to the gnomes, who are threatening to evict them.
Goblins and Gnomes is a merging game in the spirit of 2048. Coins with a value of 12 or 16 are sent to your bank. The twist is that every action—moving coins or adding a new one to the board—costs money. You’ll need to plan your moves carefully to avoid unnecessary expenses and maximize efficiency!
Throughout the game, various disasters will disrupt your progress: cave-ins that appear where 12 or 16 coins were, blocking movement; beetles that swarm your gold reserves, eager to gobble them up; and even a dragon that slumbers in its cave but will awaken if there are too many coins on the board!
But don’t worry—there’s a shop where you can buy items and upgrades to tackle these challenges: Bonus to collected gold,
Dynamite.
There’s also an alternative way to grow your wealth: the Gnome Stock Exchange, where you can trade shares to multiply your gold!
How to play
Choose Your Game Mode: Story Mode: Learn all the mechanics step-by-step and dive into the world of Goblins and Gnomes. Free Play Mode: Jump straight into the action with all mechanics unlocked. How to Operate the "Gold Extractor" A coin will appear at the top of the machine. Use the "Up Arrow" or W key to choose which column to drop it into. Once decided, press "Spacebar" or click the Pickaxe-Lever on the right side of the machine. Moving Coins Inside the Machine: Use the "Left Arrow", "Down Arrow", and "Right Arrow" (or the A, S, and D keys respectively) to move coins within the machine. Merging Coins: Combine coins of the same value until they reach 12 or 16. These will then be added to your bank as gold, and the coins will disappear, leaving behind a cave-in. Clearing Cave-ins: Use Dynamite to destroy a cave-in instantly. Use a Worker to clear it over 10 turns. Game Objective: Help the Goblins pay off their debt.
